Reported Results
Benefits:   Ziana minimized the large sore pimples. I continued to have a few during my menstrual cycle. However, I continued to experience blocked pores / blackheads and very oily skin. The product did not appear to help this.
Side effects:   Ocassionally I would experience very mild flakey skin. However, given my oily skin it was only noticeable right after I washed my face.
Comments:   I would apply the Ziana once a day at night after washing my face with a mild cleanser.

Benefits:   Easy to apply, combination of retinol and antibiotic. Treated acne and an anti-aging treatment too. The gel is odorless and goes on easily. It is also non-greasy which is important if you have combination or oily skin.
Side effects:   Dry, peeling skin. Skin was more sensitive for a short time. Also need to wear a high SPF daily for skin protection.
Comments:   Apply once a day at night on dry skin.

Treatment Info
Condition / reason:   acne
Dosage & duration:   1.2 % and .025% respectively (dosage frequency: 1 time daily) for the period of 1 year
Other conditions:   rosacea
Other drugs taken:   metrogel, oracea

Reported Results
Benefits:   There has been a noticeable reduction in acne. Overall my skin is much smoother. I have sensitive skin and rosacea. It has not exasperated my rosacea like other tretinoin treatments have. I have been very happy with it. It's the best drug I've used for acne so far.
Side effects:   My sensitive skin, will still peel regardless but especially if irritated by winter dryness or rubbing against my partner's beard. I have peeled with every tretinoin product I've tried and this is the least bothersome. I am also more sensitive to the sun. Unlike other drugs, I have not ever cracked or felt discomfort unless I get excesssive sun or dryness. I don't use it every day in the winter.
Comments:   I spread this on my entire face every night on clean skin. In the winter, I follow with a moisturizer. In the morning, I use metrogel daily. When I have more of a breakout - and it's hard for me to sometimes differentiate acne from rosacea - I will also take Oracea for a week. If I know that I will be spending quite a bit of time outside then I will take a break from it.
