| Comments: | | The insurance company no longer covered Protonix, but substituted Omeprazole. It is not as effective at reducing episodes of acid reflux as Protonix, and the dose had to be doubled to approach the same level of efficacy. |

| Effectiveness: | | Considerably Effective |

| Benefits: | | fewer Reflux episodes, less inflammation of the Eustachian Tube, lower cancer risk |
| Side effects: | | digestive problems: a few days per month |
| Comments: | | Laryngopharyngeal Reflux has caused a Eustachian Tube (ET) dysfunction. A reduction of reflux episodes was a necessary condition for the regeneration of the ET. Progress has already been achieved: inflammations of the ET have been reduced, the tissue surrounding the ET is regenerating. |

| Overall rating: | | |
| Effectiveness: | | Considerably Effective |
| Side effects: | | No Side Effects | | | Treatment Info |
| Condition / reason: | | acid reflux |
| Dosage & duration: | | 20 mg taken once a day for the period of 1 year |
| Other conditions: | | I also struggle with high cholesterol and bone density issues |
| Other drugs taken: | | Just vitamins and other suppliments | | | Reported Results |
| Benefits: | | I have a great reduction in stomach acid problems. When I've tried to use natural products like Alo Vera juice or licorice-based products, to take care of the problem, it is very difficult, and I have to take products throughout the day to have any success whatsoever. So taking one pill first thing in the morning holds me most of the day, though I often begin to get some acid in the evening. |
| Side effects: | | As far as I can tell, there are no side effects. I have heard things about these proton inhibitors doing something to the bones, though, making for bone problems, but there's no way I can tell whether it's happening to me. My bone situation has actually improved while on this medication because I've been working out in the gym with weights. |
| Comments: | | The simplicity is one of the best features. I take the pill with a glass of water first thing in the morning, wait at least 1/2 an hour before eating anything, and I'm done! |

| Benefits: | | I just filled all this out to get to read the info pack on skin care, but I accidentally logged out of it somehow and don't know how to get back in other than doing this all over again so that is what I'm doing - and I'm pissed. |
| Side effects: | | None that I know of as far as I can tell. |
| Comments: | | Once a day and that's it. Now do I get to get back into my reading> |
