| Side effects: | | Sometimes a mild dizzyness. Side effects was not bad for me |
| Comments: | | With propranolol the body stops reacting to the surge of adrenalin that attacks you when you get very anxious. The hands doenst shake, the legs doesnt shake, the heart doesn't pound and so on. Thus for me, it proved effective in breaking the vicious cycle where thougts start a bodily panic reaction which again fuels the thougts and so on. |

| Benefits: | | I have suffered of rapid heart rate for sometime because of my thyroid problem. I was given this medicine to get my heart rate controlled. First few weeks the medicine did not seem to work for me but my doctor increased the dosage to 20mg twice a day, then that was the time I started to feel my heart rate slow down. The medicine is definitely effective but I guess the effect of it depends on the individual as it requres a certain dosage for it to work effectively. |

| Comments: | | four 10mg tablets taken daily throughout period. The medication is a beta blocker and has various medical uses. Including the treatment of high blood pressure, tremor and reduction of migraine. You are advised not to take alcohol whilst taking this medicine. |
