Astralin review by 60 year old female patient

Overall rating:
Effectiveness:   Marginally Effective
Side effects:   Moderate Side Effects
Treatment Info
Condition / reason:   adult acne
Dosage & duration:   small amount applied to face at night (dosage frequency: twice) for the period of one week
Other conditions:   some rosacae.
Other drugs taken:   none
Reported Results
Benefits:   The Benefits were that the gel dried up the specific acne site, however....
Side effects:   I may have used too much on the one specific spot. Although it dried up the acne, the small spot became red and raw for about 10 days and longer before the skin returned to normal. Left to itself, the acne would have disappeared faster! A recent spot returned 6 months later in exactly the same location and even untreated it seemed to take longer to heal than other spots and the skin reverted for a couple of days to that red and raw condition of some months ago.
Comments:   I was to compare Atralin with Finacea, one on either side of my face to see which worked better.
