Benefits:   The drug was used to relieve pain. There were no side effects from the drug that I have experienced. The drug does not cost alot, it is very popular and you obviouly don't need prescription for it. For anyone who has moderate/mild accute pain, I'd highly recommend it. However, if you have a post-op pain, then I'd recommend to ask your doctor for Tylenol III.
Side effects:   There are no side effects to advil, of course if you take it for a very long time, your liver may be effected. In my case I took it for about one week, I believe Advil would be a good drug to provide relief for ACUTE/shortterm pain...Would not recommend to take it for chronic pain for the rest of your life, b/c of liver implications.
Comments:   Had wisdom tooth removed, hurt badly, instead of taking Tylenol III, i took Advil, which worked as effectively without "sedating" side effects of Tylenol III. However, I do believe that Advil works better than its generic drug. The pain relief may not last all day, only several hours. This drug surely saved me from crucifying pain of having the wisdom tooth removed.

Side effects:   Nothing that I recall besides not feeling any pain at all during the treatment and for all this six months. I have high hopes on not doing it again I do not like swallowing pills it can be the side effect but just in my particular case. Comments:   The treatment was the following; 800 mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day. 800 mg in the morning, 800 mg in the afternoon, 800 mg before bed. Mild exercise, lots of water and a healthy and sensible diet. Benefits:   The benefits of taking Advil are that it works very quickly and did not have any significant side effects.
Side effects:   very few, sometimes I felt better if I ate when I took them.
Comments:   This is an over the counter drug, and so I was not consulting a doctor. I had headaches related to many stressors in my life during that time. I found Advil to be an excellent product and would recommend it to others who suffer from menstrual, headache, or dental pain.
