Quetiapine is an antipsychotic drug. It has not been approved for insomnia. There are a variety of durgs approved for insomnia with fewer side effects. Also, keep in mind that older individuals tend to be more prone to experience drug side effects than younger ones. In any case, you need to discuss this with the doctor who'll make a decision based on the patient's history.
