Micardis Plus consists of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide. Telmisartan does not appear to have erectile dysfunction or decreased interest in sex among its common known side effects. Nor does metformin. On the other hand, the list of relatively common side effects of hydrochlorothiazide does include impotence.

This does not necessarily mean that this drug combination is indeed causing the problem, but if it does, then hydrochlorothiazide would probably be the primary suspect.

Keep in mind that Micardis Plus is a blood pressure medication. Altering drug regimen without medical supervision, especially when it concerns high blood pressure, can be very dangerous. If you are considering any changes, make sure to consult your doctor beforehand.
