Only your doctor can make such a decision based on many factors, such as when PE occurred, treatment done so far, PE severity, other risks/comorbidities and so forth.
The research on this subject is limited but some of the studies indicate that under certain circumstances, outpatient management of PE may be an option to consider.
See for example:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10739374
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9738611
But again, only your doctor who is thoroughly familiar with your history could make such a determination.
