Lunesta acts on some of the same receptors (GABA receptors) as benzodiazepines like valium. And, therefore, it can produce similar symptoms upon abrupt withdrawals, including the following:
anxiety
unusual dreams
dizziness
stomach and muscle cramps
upset stomach
vomiting
sweating
shakiness
insomnia
seizures (rare)
Your symptoms might be a result of Lunesta withdrawal. Typically, benzodiasepines and other GABA agonists are tapered off gradually to prevent withdrawal symptoms. In any case, you should discuss your symptoms with your doctor and work out what change in your drug regimen would be appropriate.
