Most people have higher blood pressure during the day, and so taking blood pressure medication only at night (and have it reach peak level at night) but may not be optimal -- albeit possible. Studies indicate that once daily candesartan has about the same effectiveness as twice daily as long as total daily dose is the same. Consider taking half of your daily dose in the morning and half in the evening -- this may be sufficient to eliminate your side effects while preserving the benefits. If that does not help, then perhaps taking your entire dose at night may be considered. However, make sure to talk to your doctor before making any changes to your drug regimen. And keep monitoring your blood pressure to make sure that it is well controlled.
