Is subcutaneous Regitine contraindicated for patient with myocardial infarction?

If Regitine is contraindicated MI for patient with myocardial infarction or history of MI; is it the same for subcutaneous as it is IV or IM?

Regitine (phentolamine) causes increase in myocardial contractions (i.e. increases load on the heart), which may present risks for patients with myocardial infarction or history of MI.

Most likely subcutaneous phentolamine has the same effects of the heart as other forms, and, therefore would probably have similar cardiac contraindications. But I don't know for sure.

You should definitely consult your doctor about the risks of any form of phentolamine if you have any cardiac problems.
