Both Lidex and Lidex-E are forms of topical 0.05% fluocinonide. Lixed is a gel and Lidex-E is a cream. Perhaps the cream is better absorbed for some reason -- that would effectively made it more potent, even though it contains the same amount of the active ingredient.
