Does toenail fungus turn black on lamisil tablets?

Does toenail fungus turn black while taking the lamisil tablets?
I am on my 3rd month of the treatment and the infected area has gone from a greyish yellowy color to dark black color.  Is this something that is normal or could it be getting worse?

Darkening of nails after beginning of anti-fungal treatment is usually a sign  of the fungus dying off. So, unless there is some other coincidental cause, this may be a sign that the treatment is working. But make sure to have your doctor or podiatrist look at it to verify that the treatment is progressing as expected.
