Taking MS-Contin with a history of brain injury?

Should someone with a history of brain injury take MS-Contin?

Does MS-Contin cause seizures?  Does MS-Contin cause ulcers and severe stomach pain that leads to vomiting.  Dose is 15mg BID.

Opiates, such as morphine (MS-Contin), are generally contraindicated in recent brain injury or any other condition associated with raised intracranial pressure.

MS-Contin and other opiates, especially in large doses, may  cause seizures. Ironically, opiate withdrawal may cause seizures as well.

Vomiting is a relatively common side effect of opiates whereas peptic ulcer is not.
