Celexa is often taken in the evening because in many people it causes fatigue or sleepiness. However, in others it might cause insomnia in which case it is best taken in the morning. Yet others split their daily dose in two parts and take one half in the morning and the other in the evening. Thus the optimal dosage pattern should be determined/adjusted in a discussion with treating physician based on the patients specific side effect profile.
