Your age and gender shouldn't be an issue here by hypertension may be. Thyroid hormones, especially T3 that is part of Armour, increase load on the heart and may carry risks in people with cardiovascular issues.
You should definitely first discuss with your doctor who knows your history whether you need thyroid hormone replacement and if so at which doses and in what form.
