| Benefits: | | This spray clears the nasal passages to promote free breathing. I've tried over the counter remedies but they are harsh and you end up practically addicted to them. This works much the same way but is non-addictive and need only be used when symptoms hit. I have used this same product when I've had a head cold and achieved the same results. I'm pretty sure that's not what it's intended for but whenever I've got sinus pressure, I take this product. |

| Comments: | | After years of trying drugs to relieve what appeared to be allergies and sinus problems, a test was done on the pressure in the ear itself revealing defective Eustachean Tubes. FloNase was prescribed along with Claritin D (as needed) to keep any symptoms away as well as prevent patient's constant symptoms and painful infections. |

| Side effects: | | some light nasal bleeding and a dry mouth when not taken precisely as directed. It's important not to let the medication go too far into the nasal passage so that it doesn't go down the back of the throat which will lead to dry mouth. |
| Comments: | | When I began taking flonase I was experiencing at least annual sinus infections and waking frequently from a dry/choking cough. The coughing is a very rare occurence for me after taking flonase and I have significantly fewer sinus infections. |

| Benefits: | | The fluticasone propionate shrinks the polyps when used as directed. The smaller the polyps the better one can breath; also the irritation from the polyps is reduced. |
| Side effects: | | I experienced blood when I would blow my nose and dryness in the nasal cavities. I also experienced palpitations, which are not a listed side effect. This was the only medication I was on and when I stopped using it the palpitations abated. |
| Comments: | | Fluticasone propionate is useful for shrinking and maintaining a smaller size of polyp when used regularly. One must stay on the spray though to maintain an improvement. It is an alternative to surgery. |

| Benefits: | | This drug reduced inflammation in the nasal passages, successfully treated hay-fever type symptoms, and also helped with hoarseness probably due to the fact that it cleared up post nasal drip. I like to sing and I found I could sing longer without getting hoarse. |
| Side effects: | | I experienced no side effects, but I was careful not to use this drug continuously over a long period of time, just in case. Generally I would start using it when symptoms were bad, stay on it for 2 to 3 weeks, then ease off. |

| Benefits: | | For many years, every Spring I would get very troublesome nasal allergy symptoms--tingling,burning, itching, sneezing, etc. After a few days, these symptoms went away. It really surprised me because I had tried many other medicines that didn't work, that also caused severe drowsiness and dry-mouth. Some years my symptoms were so bad that I couldn't go out to a restaurant or movie because I was sneezing so much. Taking this medicine gave me my life back! |
