Clinical Trials Related to Staxyn (Vardenafil)
Vardenafil ODT Versus Placebo in Males With Erectile Dysfunction [Completed]
This study investigates the safety and efficacy of a new dosage form of Vardenafil, an
orodispersible tablet (ODT), and compares it to the safety and efficacy of a placebo
(inactive) tablet in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. After a 4-week unmedicated
phase, patients will receive Vardenafil ODT or matching placebo for 12 weeks. Safety will be
determined by laboratory and other evaluations. Efficacy will be determined by the results
of different questionnaires and the patient diary that will be used.
Study of Vardenafil in Patients Suffering From Erectile Dysfunction and Metabolic Syndrome [Completed]
This is a controlled, randomized, multi-center prospective study of vardenafil to determine
efficacy on Erectile Dysfunction (ED), tolerability and safety in men with ED and Metabolic
Syndrome. This study will explore the rate of patients who do need to switch to the highest
dosage based upon the expectation that most men can stay on vardenafil 10 mg PRN (pro re
nata)
Diabetes & Vardenafil [Completed]
Given the protective effect of nitric oxide (NO) on the endothelium and the results obtained
so far in short-term, continuous treatment with phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) inhibitors on
parameters of endothelial function, we hypothesise that chronic treatment with vardenafil
can prevent or delay the deterioration of systemic endothelial function in patients with
type 2 diabetes mellitus. The favourable effect of PDE5 inhibitors on sexual function in
these patients has been convincingly demonstrated in the past. Here we hypothesise that
vardenafil treatment can have beneficial effects on the vascular physiology in other body
districts, possibly preventing the development of microangiopathy and atherosclerotic
cardiovascular disease in these patients.
The main goal of this study is therefore to monitor the endothelial dysfunction during
continuous treatment with vardenafil for 6 months; object of the study will be endothelin 1
and other known parameters of endothelial damage in newly diagnosed patients with type 2
diabetes mellitus.

Effect of Vardenafil on Erectile Dysfunction and Portal Hemodynamics in Patients With Liver Cirrhosis [Recruiting]
The investigators want to analyze the effect of Vardenafil on Erectile Dysfunstion and
portal hemodynamics in patients with liver cirrhosis.
