Darvocet-N (Propoxyphene Napsylate / Acetaminophen) - Indications and Dosage

 



DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

These products are given orally. The usual dosage is 100 mg propoxyphene napsylate and 650 mg acetaminophen every 4 hours as needed for pain. The maximum recommended dose of propoxyphene napsylate is 600 mg per day.

Consideration should be given to a reduced total daily dosage in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.

The 50mg tablets are dark orange, capsule shaped, film-coated and imprinted with the script "DARVOCET-N 50" on one side of the tablet, using edible black ink. They are available as follows:

Bottles of 100       NDC 66479-514-10

The 100mg tablets are dark orange, capsule shaped, film-coated, and imprinted with the script "DARVOCET-N 100" on one side of the tablet, using edible black ink. They are available as follows:

Bottles of 100       NDC 66479-515-10

Bottles of 500       NDC 66479-515-50

Store at 25°C (77°F); excursions are permitted to 15°- 30°C (59°- 86°F) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature]
